Context
In his lexicon of place names in Hebrew Scripture, Eusebius wrote that
Naphethdor, named at Joshua 11:2, was located near Caesarea Maritima,
repeating his lemma under Dor of Nafath (78). He also cited the Greek translation by
Symmachus in the late 2nd century C.E. The same information is recorded in the parallel
passage at Jerome, Book of Places 137, written roughly one century after
Eusebius’ work.
Text
